My original drawings are drawn on acid free paper. In the process of making acid free paper fewer corrosive chemicals are used, which makes acid free paper significantly environmentally friendlier than normal paper.
For packing my fine art cards and reproductions, I use biodegradable plastic. I like my art work to be as environmentally friendly as possible and I select my products carefully.
My paint-brushes are synthetic i.e. without animal hair.
My circular art studio has the intention to use biological or no-harm resources, designed to re-enter the biosphere safely and to re-use, recycle and up-use as much a s possible.
My fabrics designs can be ordered on regular cotton as well as organic cotton. I kindly ask you not to print my fabric designs on silk, but on organic or regular cotton instead; they are available at Spoonflower.com
My lifestyle is as eco-conscious: vegan, recycling, up-using, and re-using. I’m a member of the Dutch Party for the Animals, one of the few political parties devoted to animal welfare and nature conservation, as well as the Dutch Bird Conservation Organisation ‘Vogelbescherming’.
For me nature, animals and humans are interconnected and interdependent. Meditation and contemplation brings an understanding that we all are one. If you harm another, you harm yourself and the next generation too.
