Wooden candle holder with wooden pencils; Raphael’s sketch; Portrait Rachel Ruysch; Eugene Verboeckhoven’s Donkey and Sheep; my darling woodcocks.
You can’t possibly not love brown; it is the colour of wood, chocolate and coffee.
P.S. Ever heard of Sgrouples, the online Revolution? I’ve discovered it recently and it seems to be what we want; a safe online place without data grab. If you like to join my art group on which you can post your blog posts, art work, join discussions, do send me your email address and I will invite you. Here is Sgrouples.
I’ve solved the problem of the floppiness of my vintage paper envelopes. I’ve tried different types of supporting paper and considered tape, but ended up using two layers to add firmness to my recycled envelopes.
They look so pretty, especially when I carefully pick large advertisements or pretty illustrations for the front. I’ve made a few bilingual envelopes as well; Dutch on the outside, English as the lining of the envelope, and vice versa.
Hurrah to recycling, reusing and, for ones, hurrah to colourful and engaging advertisements.

Observe mindfully gemstones and you will see oceans, landscapes and different worlds. Some gemstones (quartz) allow you to look through their first solid layer.
The more I study the gemstones, the more I see how their patterns resemble landscapes.
I see icy landscapes, sandy hills, and lakes. By looking through the foggy quartz, I think about how many unknown and unseen patterns are hidden inside the stones.
